SOULMATE App Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Soulmate mobile application (“App”), operated by Soulmate Software FZCO (“we”, “us”, “our”).
1.2. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App.
1.3. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Soulmate Software FZCO.

2. Eligibility
2.1. The App is intended for users who are at least 18 years old.
2.2. By using the App, you confirm that:
  • you are at least 18 years old;
  • you have legal capacity to enter into this agreement;
  • you will use the App in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws.

3. Description of Service
3.1. Soulmate provides tools to explore compatibility and meaningful connections through personal insights and communication features.
3.2. The App includes:
  • profile creation and personalization;
  • compatibility insights based on user-input data;
  • chats and social interaction features;
  • safety tools such as Report and Block;
  • optional premium features (to be introduced in the future).
3.3. We may modify, expand, or remove features of the App at any time to improve service quality or security.

4. Account Registration
4.1. To use the App, you must create an account using a valid phone number or email.
4.2. You are responsible for:
  • providing accurate information;
  • maintaining only one account;
  • securing your login credentials.
4.3. You must not:
  • create an account using false or stolen information;
  • impersonate another person;
  • create accounts on behalf of others.
4.4. We reserve the right to verify your identity and request additional information in cases of suspected fraud or safety risk.

5. User Responsibilities
5.1. You are solely responsible for your actions, communications and content shared in the App.
5.2. You agree to:
  • use the App lawfully and respectfully;
  • provide only accurate personal information;
  • communicate ethically and responsibly with other users;
  • comply with our Safety & Community Rules.
5.3. You must not use the App for:
  • harassment, bullying, or abusive behavior;
  • fraud, manipulation or spam;
  • harmful, hateful, illegal or misleading activity.

6. Content and Intellectual Property
6.1. All content provided by Soulmate (interface, design, texts, algorithms) is owned by Soulmate Software FZCO.
6.2. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6.3. You may not:
  • copy, resell, modify or reverse-engineer the App;
  • use our trademarks or content without permission;
  • create competing services using our materials.

7. User-Generated Content (UGC)
7.1. You may upload content such as profile photos, descriptions, and chat messages (“User Content”).
7.2. By uploading content, you confirm that:
  • you own the rights to this content;
  • the content does not violate any laws;
  • the content complies with our safety and content rules.
7.3. We may remove User Content at any time if it violates these Terms.
7.4. You grant Soulmate a limited license to display, store, and process your User Content solely for App functionality. We do not claim ownership of your content.

8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
  • upload fake or stolen photos
  • request or share intimate images (NSFW allowed content is strictly prohibited)
  • engage in prostitution, escort services, or sexual solicitation
  • share financial account data, scams, or phishing links
  • post violent, hateful or illegal content
  • promote drugs, self-harm, or extremist ideologies
  • impersonate others or misrepresent identity
  • create multiple accounts
  • bypass security or harm the App
Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your account without notice.

9. Safety and Reporting
9.1. Soulmate provides Report and Block tools to protect users.
9.2. You agree to use these tools responsibly.
9.3. Our Safety Team reviews reports and may restrict or permanently block violators.
9.4. If you experience harassment, threats, fraud, or any form of abuse, you must report it immediately.
9.5. In urgent or dangerous situations, contact local emergency services first.

10. AI Compatibility Disclaimer
10.1. The App provides compatibility insights using data models and AI-assisted logic.
10.2. These insights are informational only and not professional advice.
10.3. AI calculations do not make decisions for you and do not guarantee relationship outcomes.
10.4. You remain fully responsible for your decisions and interactions.

11. Subscriptions and Payments (Future Services)
11.1. The App may offer optional paid features or subscription plans in the future (“Premium Services”).
11.2. Prices and terms will be clearly displayed before purchase.
11.3. Payments will be processed securely through Apple App Store or Google Play.
11.4. All purchases follow the refund policies of Apple and Google. Soulmate does not process refunds directly.
11.5. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.

12. Account Suspension and Termination
12.1. We may suspend or permanently ban accounts that:
  • violate these Terms
  • engage in fraud, harassment, or safety violations
  • upload NSFW or illegal content
  • impersonate others
  • threaten other users
  • misuse the App
12.2. Suspension or deletion may occur without prior notice to protect other users.
12.3. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account or by sending a request to privacy@slmt.app.
12.4. Once deleted, your profile and data will be removed within 30 days according to our Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimers
13.1. We provide the App “as is” and “as available” without guarantees.
13.2. We do not guarantee:
  • that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • that compatibility insights will be accurate or reliable
  • that meeting users will result in real-life compatibility
13.3. We do not verify every user and cannot guarantee user behavior.
13.4. You are solely responsible for your communication and personal safety.

14. Limitation of Liability
14.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soulmate Software FZCO is not liable for:
  • user interactions, offline or online
  • emotional, psychological, or financial losses
  • loss of data or access
  • harmful or illegal actions of other users
14.2. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you (if applicable) in the last 12 months.

15. Governing Law
15.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
15.2. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dubai, UAE.

16. Privacy and Data Protection
16.1. Data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy: https://slmt.app/privacy
16.2. By using the App, you agree to the collection and processing of data as described therein.

17. Changes to Terms
17.1. We may update these Terms to comply with legal, technical, or operational changes.
17.2. Updated Terms will be published in the App and on our website. Continued use means acceptance.
